Shahab Hosseini introduced as most popular actor in role of martyrs

Iranian superstar, Shahab Hosseini, has been selected as the most popular actor in a martyr role by Iranian audience.

Based on a poll conducted by ifilm Farsi, Shahab Hosseini topped the list, receiving over 49% of the votes among three other actors.

The votes were dedicated to the popular star for his brilliant role in the series ‘Passion to Fly’ in which he had the character of martyr Babaee, the Iranian fighter pilot during the Iran-Iraq war.

Javad Hashemi for his role in ‘Symorgh’ series as martyr Keshvari, Fariborz Arabnia for his role in ‘Che’ as martyr Chamran and Hadi Hejazifar for appearing as martyr Motevasselian in ‘Standing in the Dust’ took the next places.

‘Passion to Fly’ narrates the story of a legendry Iranian martyr whose heroic sacrifices for Iran and the Iranian nation will never be erased from the country's history.

This series pictures the life of Abbas Babaee, an Iranian fighter pilot, from childhood to the day of his martyrdom.
